Terms & Conditions


These "Terms and Conditions" govern the My Harkins Awards program. Your registration and participation in this program indicates your acceptance of these Terms and Conditions. We reserve the right to change these Terms and Conditions by posting revisions to this program at any time. Your continued participation in this program indicates your agreement to any revised Terms and Conditions. Accordingly, if you do not agree to any terms, please do not participate in this program.



This program is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 13. If you are between the ages of 13 and 18, you may use My Harkins Awards under the supervision of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to be bound by these Terms of Use. Guests who meet the eligibility requirements may register by creating a My Harkins Award membership at Harkins.com/awards, downloading the Harkins Theatres mobile application from the Google Play Store or the App Store, or by acquiring a physical registration card at the box office of any Harkins Theatres location. 

Registration requires that you provide the following information: phone number and email address. Additional profile information may be requested. Membership must be registered and in good standing in order to participate and redeem Awards.  You may only have one (1) My Harkins Awards membership per person and membership is non-transferable. The membership is intended for household use only. Individuals may not pool or combine Points with other members. Failure to follow the Terms and Conditions may result in termination of membership: see Termination of Membership.



There is no fee to register in the My Harkins Awards program, but eligible purchases and/or activities are required to earn Awards.



You will receive one (1) Point for each dollar spent on qualifying purchases at Harkins Theatres locations. Points are calculated to the 2nd decimal (1.00) and are accumulated for purchase payments made with cash, credit card, debit card and Harkins Gift Cards. Qualifying purchases include: movie tickets purchased at the theatre box office, kiosk, Guest Services, Harkins Online Ticketing or through our partners MovieTickets.com, Fandango and Atom Tickets, PlayCenter tickets, concession items, Big Party Popcorn, café items, and merchandise purchases online at store.harkins.com. You will receive one (1) Point for each dollar spent in Harkins Gift Card purchases or reloads of $50 or more in a single transaction in theatre or online at store.harkins.com. VIP Ultimate discount tickets, and VIP Classic discount tickets will earn 2 Points upon redemption at the theatre box office, regardless of the total value of the ticket.

Qualifying purchases do not include:  Gift card purchases (under $50 in a single transaction) or Harkins VIP discount tickets which accumulate Points separately upon redemption. Concession vouchers, purchase of auditorium rentals, field trips, fund raiser programs, arcade games and alcoholic beverages are also not included. Use of free passes or purchases made using My Harkins Award Dollars, Popcorn Awards, or any other Award are also not eligible for Point accumulation.

In the event a refund or return is processed for a qualifying purchase, the original payment method will be credited back and the Points earned will be deducted from the member’s Point balance. If My Harkins Award Dollars were used for the payment method, then the total Award Dollars will be credited back to the membership and no Points would have been accumulated on the amount of the Award Dollar value used.



Members will earn Points when presenting a My Harkins Awards membership number at any Harkins Theatres location at the time of qualifying purchase. Members are required to be logged in to earn Points for purchases through Harkins Online Ticketing and at store.harkins.com and are required to enter their membership number when purchasing tickets through Movietickets.com, Fandango, or Atom Tickets.   Accumulated Points will expire after 180 days of inactivity on the membership.



For every 200 Points accumulated from qualifying purchases, your membership will be credited with a $5 Award (worth 5 Award Dollars). After a $5 Award is credited, 200 Points will be immediately deducted from total Point balance. Please allow up to 24 hours for your $5 Award to be credited. My Harkins Award Dollars can be redeemed in theatre for box office tickets, PlayCenter tickets, concessions, or towards the purchase or renewal of Popcorn Perks. You will need to present your My Harkins Awards digital or physical membership card at the time of transaction in order to use your My Harkins Award Dollars. My Harkins Award Dollars expire 180 days after issuance, are not transferable, and are not valid for purchases made on MovieTickets.com, Fandango, Atom Tickets or in theatre bar/lounge locations.



A $5 Birthday Award is valid for $5 and is added to your existing Award Dollar balance.  A $5 Birthday Award is issued to your membership 7 days prior to your registered date of birth and is valid for up to 180 days.



Newsletters and Communications: My Harkins Awards Members will receive exclusive member e-newsletters highlighting new movie releases, Tuesday Night Classics, Summer Movie Fun, showtimes, promotions, exclusive offers and more.   Members may also opt-in to receive e-news on art and independent films.

Membership Site: Members can log in to their My Harkins Awards membership via the Harkins Theatres website at Harkins.com/awards or mobile app to update their membership information, check Point progression and view My Harkins Awards balances.

After logging in, Members will be able to edit their information including:  first name, last name, email address, phone number, address, and preferences. 



Popcorn Perks® can be purchased for $30.  There is a limit of one medium popcorn per active Popcorn Perks when you go to the movies (at least one ticket must be purchased or obtained by redeeming a movie pass). Popcorn Perks® are valid for up to a 12-month period from date of activation OR a maximum of 36 medium popcorns, whichever comes first. One digital medium popcorn voucher will be activated on your membership each time you present your membership information when purchasing at least one movie ticket at a Harkins Theatres location or through Harkins.com Online Ticketing, MovieTickets.com, Fandango or Atom Tickets. The  digital medium popcorn voucher will be automatically loaded to your membership and can be redeemed at the concession stand for one medium size popcorn (upgradable to a larger size for an additional charge).  A digital medium popcorn voucher will not be issued for tickets purchased for overlapping showtimes unless there are multiple $30 Popcorn Perks® purchased for the membership. Once activated on the membership, the individual digital medium popcorn vouchers are each valid 180 days from issuance and are not transferable. There is a maximum 36 medium popcorns issued per 12-month period per $30 Popcorn Perks® purchased.

You may purchase additional Popcorn Perks® under one membership to activate multiple digital medium popcorn vouchers when you go to the movies (each with qualifying ticket purchase or  movie pass redemption). The Popcorn Perks® program is intended for household use only and is not transferrable. A My Harkins Awards membership is required to take advantage of Popcorn Perks®.  Failure to follow these terms and conditions may result in termination of membership: See Termination of Membership.

Physical membership cards are not required; however, if your My Harkins Awards membership number is lost or stolen please visit your nearest Harkins Theatres location or email us through Contact Us or GuestServices@harkins.com and request a new membership number. Harkins Theatres is not responsible for any transactions that occur with your My Harkins Awards membership before it is reported lost or stolen. 

Receipts or Ticket Stubs are required if a member would like to validate and receive any potential adjustment for Points missing from qualifying purchases. Please visit your nearest Harkins Theatres Guest Services location or email us through Contact Us or GuestServices@harkins.com for assistance.



Harkins Theatres may cancel the My Harkins Awards program at any time. You will be notified of any such cancellation in the manner provided by applicable law prior to the effective date of the change. You may cancel your My Harkins Awards membership at any time by contacting your nearest Harkins Theatres location or email us with the details through Contact Us or at  GuestServices@harkins.com for assistance. If you cancel voluntarily, you will not receive a credit for any benefit fees and you may not reactivate your membership number.  However, you are eligible to purchase and/or activate a new membership number without the benefit of the previously earned Points and Awards.

Harkins Theatres reserves the right to terminate a Membership and any accumulated Awards without notice, for any reason in our sole discretion, including, without limitation, abusive or offensive behavior by the Member while on Harkins’ property or any act in connection with a Membership that is deceptive, fraudulent, or abuses the Membership in any way, including, but not limited to, generating Points and Awards in any manner other than by making qualifying purchases in good faith or receiving Birthday Awards. Examples of deceptive, fraudulent, or abusive behavior include, but are not limited to (1) making a purchase either online, through Harkins or third party vendors, or at the theatre and then seeking a refund in an attempt to inflate spending or transactions on a Member’s account, (2) posting or sharing of Member-directed promotional offers or an account number on websites or reproducing a Member-directed promotional offer or account number for use by third parties or public websites, or (3) use of a Member’s account number for purchases by an individual who is not that Member or an individual in that Member’s household.



Under no circumstances shall Harkins Administrative Services, Inc., its affiliates, and their respective employees, contractors, agents, officers, managers and directors, as used in these Terms and Conditions and FAQ’s (“Harkins Theatres”), be liable for any punitive, incidental, direct, indirect, accidental, special or consequential damages that may result from the use of this program, including any typographical errors or omissions in any Program-related document, and any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay, theft, destruction, or unauthorized access to, or alteration of, Points and Awards you earn or redeem. This limitation applies whether the alleged liability is based on negligence, contract, tort, strict liability or any other legal theory, even if Harkins Theatres has been notified of the possibility of such damages. In the event some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, Harkins Theatres' liability in such jurisdictions shall be limited to the extent permitted by law.



You agree to defend, indemnify and hold harmless Harkins Theatres, its affiliates, and their respective employees, contractors, agents, officers, managers, and directors from all liabilities, claims, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) that arise out of or are related to any user content you submit, post, transmit or make available through the website, your violation of this Agreement, your violation of any third party rights, or your participation in the My Harkins Awards programs



To offer comments about the My Harkins Awards program, or about the information presented in any of the foregoing terms of use, including the privacy policy, please email us through Contact Us or GuestServices@harkins.com. Personal information provided to Harkins Theatres by filling out our registration form and submitting it to us from this website or mobile app, is used to respond to your message and to help us get you the information you have requested or register your opinion. We only share this information with other organizations if your inquiry relates to that organization, or as otherwise required by law. Any comments collected are themselves subject to the protections of the privacy policy, (see below).



This website is owned and operated by Harkins Theatres. Unless otherwise specified, all materials appearing on this website, including the text, site design, logos, graphics, icons and images, as well as the selection, assembly and arrangement thereof, are the sole property of Harkins Theatres or used under license. The contents of this website are available to you only for personal use, and may not be reproduced, distributed, adapted or otherwise used without the written permission of Harkins Theatres and its licensors. Any unauthorized use of the materials appearing on this website may violate copyright, trademark, service mark or other applicable laws and could result in criminal or civil penalties.



By choosing to access this website from any location, inside or outside the United States, you accept full responsibility for compliance with all applicable laws. You agree that any legal action brought against Harkins Theatres shall be governed by the laws of the state of Arizona without regard to its conflict of law principles. You agree that the sole jurisdiction and venue for any litigation arising from your use of this website shall be an appropriate federal or state court located in Maricopa County, Arizona. You agree to use this website only for authorized and legal activities. Harkins Theatres reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to terminate your access to all or part of this website, with or without notice and for any reason whatsoever. Any gift, prize, or similar item awarded to a member in connection with a My Harkins Awards promotional event that is not claimed by the member on the date of the event will be available at the Harkins Theatre Support Office for thirty (30) days after the event.

In order to register for this program and related products or services available through this program, or to permit us to respond to your inquiries or provide program and Award notifications and movie updates, our site's registration may require that you provide basic contact information (name, phone, and e-mail address), demographic information (like your ZIP code or date of birth), financial information (like membership or credit card numbers) and/or lifestyle related information (like communication preferences). This contact information may be used, in addition to the other purposes listed, to contact you with any questions regarding your account.

We do not share information with third parties for their direct marketing purposes unless you affirmatively agree to such disclosure - typically by opting in to receive information from a third party that is participating in a sweepstakes or other promotion on one of our websites. If you do not want your information to be used by a third party for direct marketing purposes (or other purposes unrelated to the uses described herein), do not opt in to such use by that third party. Please note that if you opt in to receive direct marketing from a third party, your information will be subject to that party's privacy policy. At any time after joining the My Harkins Awards program or opting in to receive information from a third party, you may opt-out of receiving marketing communications from us or request that we not further provide your personal contact, demographic, and/or lifestyle-related information to third parties. You have the choice to opt-out of receiving further marketing communications from Harkins Theatres. You can also change or modify information previously provided. You may opt-out by logging into your membership on this website and in under Manage Your Account, unchecking your email preferences. Information Collected and Stored Automatically by Cookies: We may use "cookies" to gather information during your visit. The web server that hosts the Harkins Theatres site gathers certain information about the visit automatically in a standard log file. This information never identifies you personally and consists of only the following items: The Internet domain (for example, "xcompany.com" if you use a private Internet access account, or "yourschool.edu" if you connect from a school’s domain) from which you access the website; the IP address (an IP address is a number that is automatically assigned to your computer whenever you are surfing the Web) from which you access the website; and the date and time of your access.

Harkins Theatres and its third-party vendors have taken several steps to safeguard the integrity of its computer systems and networks. These steps include, but are not limited to, individual authentication, the security of transmitted data, security monitoring, auditing, and encryption of information. Security methods and measures have been integrated into the design, implementation and day-to-day practices of the entire Harkins Theatres website.



We provide My Harkins Awards Members with the option to store payment credentials on their My Harkins Awards account to facilitate the processing of their future purchases.  When you check out using your My Harkins Awards account, we will ask if you would like to save your payment credentials.  If you consent to save your payment credentials we will store your card credentials as a secured token issued from the bank after a successful authorization. This token may only be used to make purchases at Harkins and does not contain any information that could be used to make a transaction with another merchant, such as your 16 digit credit card number or CVV. When you proceed to complete a purchase on our website or app we will retrieve the secured payment token that was created from your credit card and associated to your My Harkins Awards account. You will then be able to use that secured token to make purchases on our website or app without needing to input your payment credentials again.

If you choose to store your payment credentials we will store them until you advise us otherwise.  In other words, your consent to store your payment credentials will not expire unless it is expressly revoked.  If we make any changes to the terms of your consent you will receive an email notifying you of such changes at the email address associated with your My Harkins Awards account.
