Harkins PlayCenter

No babysitter? no problem!

Harkins' exclusive in-lobby children's PlayCenter offers a supervised, engaging environment where children ages 3 through 8 can play games, read books, enjoy toys, and of course, watch movies, just steps from Mom and Dad's auditorium.

PlayCenter staff members are trained professionals who work exclusively in the PlayCenter. They are background checked and fingerprinted.  Walk-ups are welcome and reservations are recommended.

PlayCenter Information

Reservations are not required, but are encouraged, as some of our PlayCenters tend to become very busy, especially on the weekends.  To make a reservation, simply contact the PlayCenter you would like to visit, via phone. Have your movie, showtime and date ready.  The PlayCenter Receptionist will assist you in completing this process.

PlayCenter Tickets

Tickets can be purchased only at the box office or at the guest services counter.  Unfortunately, PlayCenter tickets are not available for purchase online, or from our kiosks.

Admittance Requirements

Our PlayCenters are intended for children between the ages of 3 and 8.  All children must be fully potty trained.  Diapers are not permitted in the PlayCenter.  Please contact the PlayCenter directly if you have questions regarding admittance.

Clothing Requirements

We recommend that your child dress comfortably and bring a light weight sweater or jacket for his/her visit to the PlayCenter, as it tends to be a little chilly at times. For your child's safety, your child must be fully clothed and wearing shoes (no high heels, platform shoes, or shoes with wheels).  If your child has shoes with wheels the wheels must be removed before he/she enters the PlayCenter.

The PlayCenter is a secure environment equipped with surveillance cameras. Two restrooms are available inside the PlayCenter for your child's use. They will not need to leave the PlayCenter to use the restroom. Only scheduled PlayCenter staff members are permitted to enter the PlayCenter when there are children present.

You may not leave the theatre under any circumstance once your child is checked into the theatre.  Once your child is checked-in to the PlayCenter, no adults, except the PlayCenter staff may enter the PlayCenter.  Exceptions may be made with management approval for emergency situations.

The parent who checks in the child is given a wristband that matches their child's wristband.  Your child is only permitted to leave with the parent/guardian wearing the wristband with the corresponding number.

Check-in Times

You may arrive as early as 30 minutes prior to the start of your showtime to check your child in.  Please remember to bring your ID with you.  Your child must be picked up within 15 minutes of the end of your movie.  If this is your first visit to the PlayCenter location, you will need to arrive at least 15 minutes before the start-time of your movie to complete our registration card.  Each PlayCenter requires a complete registration card on file.  Children may be checked in until the latest check-in time listed as noted on the PlayCenter page. Please contact the PlayCenter directly for current check-in times.

At check-in, each parent is given a pager that will vibrate if we need to reach you during your movie.  In the unlikely event of an emergency, or a situation where your child may need to be picked up, we will page you right away.  Additionally, during check in, the PlayCenter staff will record your auditorium number so we may find you in the event the pager fails.  Please be sure to notify the PlayCenter staff if you change auditoriums.

Children may enjoy complimentary Harkins popcorn and filtered water while in the PlayCenter.  Unfortunately, outside food and drink is not permitted in the PlayCenter.  This includes food items that are purchased from the theatre concession stand.
