To maximize your game play, your console should be updated prior to arrival. Any time spent downloading at the theatre will take away from the two-hour time slot provided.

Safely disconnect and pack up your gaming console, power cords, HDMI cords, console docks, games and fully charged controllers .

FAQs

WHAT CONSOLES ARE SUPPORTED AT THE PRIVATE GAMING PARTY?

Any console with an HDMI output can be supported, including but not limited to Nintendo Switch, XBOX 360, XBOX one, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 and XBOX Series X.

ARE THERE ANY GAME RESTRICTIONS?

Any title rated AO or Adults Only 18+ and non-rated titles are not allowed.

CAN I PLAY GAMES ONLINE?

Yes, our auditoriums are equipped with high speed Wi-Fi so you can bring your favorite games to play online.

HOW WILL THE WIFI WORK?

A dedicated WiFi access code will be provided by a guest services representative. WiFi Speeds range between 10-20 Mbps.

WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING TO CONNECT TO THE INTERNET?

All devices must have the ability to connect wirelessly to Wi-Fi access.

HOW DO I ACCESS ONLINE GAMING AT THE THEATRE?

Connect to our Wi-Fi using the access code we provide, then log into your online gaming account. Make sure you know all of your account login information for any online services, i.e., PlayStation Network, XBOX Live, Nintendo Switch Online, to avoid any issues in signing in to your account at the theatre.

WILL ACCESS TO THIRD PARTY ONLINE GAMING SERVICES BE PROVIDED?

A personal third-party online subscription is needed to play/access certain online gameplay features. Services like XBOX Live, PlayStation Plus, or Nintendo Switch Online will not be provided. Please ensure that all of your subscriptions and consoles are up-to-date before arriving.

CAN I BRING MORE THAN ONE CONSOLE?

You can only play one console on-screen at a time. We do not show multiple consoles on the screen simultaneously.

CAN I PURCHASE BACK-TO-BACK PRIVATE GAMING PARTIES?

Yes, however you are limited to the time slots available online. For extended game play options, please contact Sales@harkins.com.

CAN I USE NON-GAMING APPS ON MY CONSOLE LIKE STREAMING SERVICES OR INTERNET BROWSERS?

No, the Private Gaming Party is limited to gaming only. Our Wi-Fi system will block access to all sites that are not designed for online gaming.

MY CONSOLE NEEDS A SOFTWARE UPDATE TO PLAY ONLINE GAMES. CAN I DOWNLOAD IT AT THE THEATRE?

To maximize your game play, your console should be updated prior to arrival. Any time spent downloading at the theatre will take away from the two-hour time slot provided.

CAN I PLAY GAMES IN 4K RESOLUTION AT THE THEATRE?

No, games will render in HD at a maximum of 1080p resolution.

WILL MY GAMES BE IN SURROUND SOUND?

Yes, all games and consoles that have 5.1 surround sound audio capabilities are supported.

WILL I HAVE TO SET UP MY CONSOLE WHEN I ARRIVE?

Yes. However, a Harkins team member will be present to assist you and ensure audio levels and video are properly set up. The theatre will allow access to the auditorium up to 30 minutes prior to your event start time to allow time for set up.

WHEN DOES THE CLOCK START FOR MY TWO HOURS?

Your two hours of gaming will begin at the time of your reservation. The theatre will allow access to the auditorium up to 30 minutes prior to your event start time to allow time for set up. For example, if your event is from 10am-12pm, you will be allowed access at 9:30am at the earliest to set up.

CAN I STREAM MYSELF AND/OR MY GAME?

No, online streaming in not permitted in our auditoriums.

CAN I PLAY VR GAMES?

VR games are not recommended. The gaming console is set up in the back row of the auditorium. If motion sensors are required, you would be limited to the back row.

CAN I PLAY GAMES ON MY PC OR LAPTOP?

Playing games on a PC or laptop is not recommended. A wireless keyboard and mouse will be required if you choose to bring a PC or laptop to your Private Gaming Party.

CAN I WATCH GAMING LIVESTREAMS DURING MY PRIVATE GAMING PARTY?

No, Private Gaming Parties are only for playing games but if you would like to host an event to watch livestream gaming, please contact Sales@harkins.com.

WILL THERE BE POWER OUTLETS AVAILABLE?

Access to power outlets will be limited, all devices should be fully charged prior to your arrival.

HOW MANY PEOPLE CAN BE CONNECTED TO THE WI-FI AT THE SAME TIME?

There are no limitations to the number of guests that can be connected at the same time, but multiple devices may cause lag during online play due to consumption of bandwidth.

HOW SHOULD I DISCONNECT MY CONSOLE AT HOME TO BRING IT TO THE THEATRE?

When disconnecting your console at home please follow the manufacturer’s instructions.

HOW DO I CHECK IN?

Upon arrival at your selected Harkins Theatres location, please present your online confirmation code at Guests Services so a manager can assist your party. Please notify your guests to meet you at Guest Services.

HOW EARLY SHOULD I ARRIVE?

Please arrive 30 minutes early to your reserved start time to complete the check-in process and set up your console.

WHAT IF MY PARTY ARRIVES SEPARATELY?

Please instruct your party to check in at Guest Services so a manager can assist them.

WILL I BE ABLE TO EARN MY HARKINS AWARDS POINTS FOR MY PRIVATE GAMING PARTY PURCHASE?

Yes, the guest booking the Private Gaming Party will earn My Harkins Awards Points for their purchase if they enter their My Harkins Awards information at the time of purchase.

HOW LONG CAN MY PARTY STAY IN THE AUDITORIUM?

Your event will conclude two hours after your start time. Once your time ends, we ask that you safely and promptly exit the auditorium.

WHAT IF I HAVE MORE THAN 20 GUESTS?

WHAT ARE THE RESTRICTIONS?

A Private Gaming Party must be booked at least 6 hours in advance and cannot exceed 20 guests. Seats and tickets are not permitted for resale. Rental is for two-hour time slot only.

DO I STILL HAVE TO WEAR A FACE COVERING?

Yes, face coverings are required except when eating and drinking in your seat.

CAN I BRING OUTSIDE FOOD AND DRINK?

The full concession stand is open and serving up your favorite movie theatre snacks. Outside food and drinks are prohibited.

I'M NOT ABLE TO GO ANYMORE. HOW CAN I REQUEST A REFUND?

If you need a refund, please contact Guest Services Guest‌Ser‌vices‌@harkins.com. Private Gaming Parties cannot be refunded within 24 hours of your scheduled game time.
