In Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, Connery portrayed the father of the iconic Indiana Jones in pursuit of the Holy Grail. In his Oscar award-winning role in The Untouchables, Connery played Irish American cop Jim Malone, inspired by the real life Philadelphia police commissioner who pursued the notorious Chicago gangster Al Capone.
